How to respond to an IP notice on Etsy

Identify the claim in the notice
Read the notice for the cited right or policy, the affected listing, the reporting party if given, and any instructions or deadline. A platform removal is not automatically a DMCA copyright takedown. Save the notice, a copy of the listing, your receipt, the terms that applied to your purchase, and any seller communications. A receipt alone does not establish that the source held the rights.
Copyright reports have a specific counter-notice route
Etsy says a DMCA counter-notice may be considered when a listing is removed based on a US copyright report and you have a good-faith belief that the removal involved mistake or misidentification. The notice includes a statement under penalty of perjury, contact details, consent to court jurisdiction and acceptance of service. Etsy's instructions direct sellers to the unique link in its removal email, or to its designated agent if the form cannot be used. Trademark and policy removals need different review
