Can I Resell Design Files I Bought? What Marketplace License Pages Say About Reselling As-Is

Direct answer: On the license pages checked here, reselling the purchased file itself is addressed as a restriction. Creative Market says at no time can you "Resell or sub-license the Licensed Asset as in a way that is directly competitive with the original Licensed Asset." Creative Fabrica lists "Resell, sub-license, share or (re)distribute any of the digital files" as not allowed. Design Bundles' overview calls "Reselling or redistributing raw design or font files as-is" "strictly prohibited" under its Premium tier. This guide reports license wording only. It does not say whether any law would allow resale apart from the license, and it is not legal advice.

TL;DR: The three marketplaces' pages each restrict reselling the file itself, in different words. Terms vary by marketplace and tier, and products sold as resale rights or PLR/MRR carry the seller's own terms. Read the license for your specific purchase.

Creative Market

Creative Market's "General Overview for Licensing" answers "What do the licenses NOT allow me to do?" with a list that begins "At no time can you:" and includes "Resell or sub-license the Licensed Asset as in a way that is directly competitive with the original Licensed Asset," "Resell any modification of the asset on its own" and "Make the asset public or share the asset in any way."

The Extended Commercial License FAQ asks, "Can I resell items as-is under the Extended Commercial License?" and answers: "No. Resale or Sub-Licensing the Licensed Asset or any modification of it in source file form is strictly prohibited."

Creative Market also states: "All of Creative Market's licenses are non-exclusive and may be licensed to other customers."

Creative Fabrica

Creative Fabrica's Subscription License and Single Sales License each list, under "You are not allowed to": "Resell, sub-license, share or (re)distribute any of the digital files." Each license's full text also says: "You are never allowed to resell, share, re-distribute or otherwise transfer items downloaded to other 3rd parties."

Design Bundles

Design Bundles' license overview describes the "Premium License + POD License (Unlimited Tier)" with this restriction: "Reselling or redistributing raw design or font files as-is, extracting individual elements to share, or transferring raw files to third parties for their own use is strictly prohibited." For the Personal License it lists as not covered: "Selling physical or digital end products."

That is an overview page. Design Bundles also publishes longer license text, so do not treat the overview as the whole answer. Confirm the terms shown on the specific download.

What this does not tell you

Where a preflight helps

A BundleShield preflight is a check you run before you list. It takes your ZIP with the license text inside and flags brand-name patterns in filenames and readable license text, byte-identical duplicates and unsafe active content, with a per-file result of Clear, Review or Remove and the reason attached. It quotes selected license lines alongside the per-file results, and it does not decide what your license allows. It does not scan the artwork. Clear means no issue flagged by these limited checks. The checks are rule-based: every upload is checked against the same rubric, the same way. A risk check, not legal clearance. See what a report looks like on the sample report page.
